The Cooperative offers a wide variety of career opportunities. Industry Professionals and experts may visit students and share personal insights about their careers.

Circuits Demonstration - Speakers/Hands-On Activity

Students can use their hands, knowledge, and imagination to build and operate their own circuits. 

Learn to assemble components such as a battery, wires, bulb, switches, and buzzers.

Prestigious Opportunities for Senior High Students 

Youth Tour

Youth Tour is a leadership-based opportunity for students to connect with their community and cooperative. The selected students will represent AVECC as they join students from electric cooperatives across the nation in Washington, D.C.  for the opportunity to meet Arkansas’ congressional delegation, visit historic sites, learn about the workings of their nation’s government and learn how electric cooperatives' impact our rural communities. 

Students selected will receive a $500 college scholarship from AVECC as well as an opportunity to earn a $5,000 scholarship from the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas.

$2,500 Senior Scholarship

Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation accepts applications each spring for the AVECC Senior Scholarship. High school seniors whose parents or guardians are AVECC members may apply for one of two $2,500 scholarships that the cooperative will award this year.
