David Mckamie - Student Athlete of the Week

Arkansas Valley Electric and Wave Rural Connect #StudentAthleteOfTheWeek is David Mckamie, a senior at Charleston High School.

David's journey in football began in the second grade with flag football, and he has been a part of the Tiger Football program ever since. His years of experience and passion for the game have shaped him into not just a formidable player, but also a natural leader.

Reflecting on the season so far, David shares, "We play hard every game, but we need to get a few things fixed to get where we want to be.” His leadership is driven by a clear vision: "Our main goal this season is to win state."

David's aspirations extend beyond the high school field. After high school, he hopes to attend college and pursue a career as a football coach, a passion that started early. "I have coached little league teams and helped out here on our team. I have always dreamed of becoming a coach," he says. David's commitment to his education and leadership make him a standout player and student.
