Intern Spotlight - Eli Matthews

As a Muldrow native and student at Oklahoma State University's Institute of Technology, Eli interned at AVECC's Van Buren District this past spring.

This opportunity was Eli’s first internship, and he anticipates to graduate with an Associates in Applied Science as a High Voltage Line Technician in 2025.

"It was an incredible experience," he shared. "If I asked questions, they were always quick to explain it to me."

Eli explained that upon graduation, he is considering pursuing a career at an electric cooperative. "The co-op atmosphere is definitely a brotherhood, it feels like a family."
