Cedarville Pirates Lily Morrow and Colton Arnold have been named the #StudentAthletesOfTheWeek by Arkansas Valley Electric and Wave Rural Connect.

This week, these remarkable seniors concluded their basketball season with the Pirates, leaving a lasting impact on their team and community.

Reflecting on her season, Lily Morrow shared, “I think the highlight of my career was the game-winning layup I scored in the last few seconds against Hackett. It was so exciting.” 

She emphasized the strong bond she shared with her teammates, describing them as sisters who have grown up together both on and off the court. She continued, “This was the best team I have ever been a part of.” Lily shared her appreciation for her coach’s dedication to “going above and beyond” for her and her teammates.

Colton began, “We didn’t compete quite like I had hoped we would, but we did have a fun group. This season taught me to learn and overcome.” 

He described the highlight of his year and his standout performance at a tournament in Decatur, “ I think I scored 22 points and secured 14 rebounds. We won in double overtime 88 to 87. It was the best game of my career.” 

Both Lily and Colton have bright futures ahead. Upon graduation, Lily plans to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy at the University of Central Arkansas, and Colton intends to embark on the path to become a licensed surveyor.
