Student Athletes of the Week - County Line
County Line Indians, Jolee Robberson and Trent Johnston, have been named the #StudentAthletesOfTheWeek by Arkansas Valley Electric and Wave Rural Connect.
Jolee, a sophomore shooting guard for the Lady Indians, has attended County Line since kindergarten and has already made a name for herself with her impressive performance on the court. In a recent game against Ozark Catholic, she scored 25 points, showcasing her growth and strength.
She explained, "We have been getting in the weight room, and I am seeing a lot of personal growth. I am just stronger, so it's easier to get in the lane and make more happen."
When asked what it feels like to put on the Indians jersey and play in front of her hometown fans, Jolee humbly shared, "As Coach P says, it's not about the wins or losses. It's about keeping on and playing for the name on our chests, not for ourselves."
Trent is a senior point guard for the Senior High Indians and has attended County Line since kindergarten.
As the only returning starter from the 2023 state champion team, he is no stranger to hard work and dedication.
"We've had some struggles at times, but we have played well against some pretty good teams, and I am happy about that," he shared. "We've been a work in progress this year, but we just try to work hard and get better every day."
Trent expressed a deep appreciation for the unwavering support that County Line's fans have shown the team. As he puts it, "To County Line, basketball is everything." He continues, "Some of our fans are guaranteed to show up and sit in the front row whether we are the best team in the state or the worst, and it is such an honor to play for them."
